Serious Theater Person: Okay, but was it any good? Because I've heard fantastic things about it but then I saw a publicity video clip and this may be sacrilege, but I wasn't blown away by it. I thought he was kind of mediocre. So, was he better in person?

Question 1 - I thought he was very good. Which part did you see? Some parts he was excellent, and other parts I was wondering if he'd settled into too much of a routine with the role. You know what I mean?
I've seen Equus before, and it's seriously not my favorite play. But I really liked this production, that aside. Richard Griffiths was great. He played it very understated, and about half-way through I realized that it was totally brilliant. The other actors were various flavors of mediocre, with the worst being the mother. She was not good at all.

Dear Crystal,

Question 2 - Frankly, not at all.
