This is all true.

"It is likely it will succeed because Twilight stole that one hot actor that JK Rowling stupidly killed off in movie 4. Clear negligence of 12 year old girl theory. Dumb bitch."

Yeah, I lied. What of it?

I can now say that I agree with your blog tag for this series, having just finished reading the first one. Even without the hype and skepticism, I think this story would have left me cold.

Confession: I secretly wanted to like it. But I do not. I don't even lust madly for Edward. I feel kind of... empty and abnormal as a result.

I thought of you when I read this, Amy. I think you would concur?

Min - No! You are normal! We are normal!

Christine - Heee! It's true. Although, actually, the actual production team is already kind of ramping up the ridiculousness.

See, but at least you feel something for it, Amy! I was just numb... and confused. Like, What am I missing?

I do have to say, I liked reading about the adventures in Forks, Port Angeles, and such. I've been boycotting PA for years, but it was still cool to be able to picture the (stupid) events that take place there.

Actually, the rage built slowly for me. I think my vehemence is due in small part to the continued presence of people saying, "OMG! This book is awesome!" causing me to think, "No, it's not, what's wrong with you?"

And due in large part, of course, to sparkly macros.

Amy! I was passing the YA section in the book store today, so I thought I'd go check out whether this Twilight thing is actually happening here, as well.

....

It would seem to be so. It would also seem that someone in the publishing company is a fan of bad, bad, BAD puns. You know how the books are originally named Twilight and Eclipse and Breaking Dawn? (I only know this because I checked for the original title to make sure I'm actually looking at the right thing.) (And of course you know. ANYWAY.) So, in German, they're all called Bite Until Twilight, etc. Because 'until' is 'bis' in German, and 'Biss' is bite. I AM NOT EVEN FUCKING KIDDING. (I am not sure whether I'm making myself clear. But it really is very awkward.)

I pissed myself standing there just reading the title, and then I read the cover blurbs and pissed myself some more.

Oh, Christine, I already know!! Like the second "s" is kind of faded out?

IT'S BECAUSE VAMPIRES BITE PEOPLE, CHRISTINE.

Although, actually, in this book, they totally don't.

Yes. Yes, it is.

I... just... no. Flail.

IT'S BECAUSE VAMPIRES BITE PEOPLE, CHRISTINE.

But... that's totally news to me!!! THEY DO?!?!
